Meridian House Wedding, Alie + Bret
Alie and Bret are one of the cutest couples I have met. They look at each other so intently, constantly dote on one another and connect in a way that brings tears to the eyes of romantics. I saw signs of this when we first met for drinks and again when we spent time together during an engagement session outing in Georgetown. From the beginning they extended an unwavering trust to me that enabled me to capture images that are a real reflection of their feelings for one another. Never for a second did I feel that I was intruding on their experience together even as I was right there, close up, almost the entire time.
That day we were lucky and had a steady stream of big beautiful fluffy snow flakes. It was the second time in five years that I have had wedding day snow. It is only evident in one of the pictures below shot from the courtyard in the back of the Meridian House as they spent a few minutes alone together during the cocktail hour. Just after that, once back inside, I found the two of them dancing alone with the bass and piano player who joined them in the room where dinner was about to be served. Alie was tearing up and the few people who have seen that image so far have gotten teared up as well.
