Washington DC Baby Portraits, Maggie @ 5 Weeks
Rachel, Chris and daughter Ada recently welcomed a new member to their family. Meet Margaret, or more affectionately know as Maggie. And take a minute to recall the exhilarating feeling of being tossed up in the air by your dad when you were a kid. Ada was lovin’ it.

Musician Portraits, Jennifer Litwin and Victor Markiw
I had the pleasure of working with two fantastically talented musicians last weekend up in New York creating images that will be included in their new album and marketing materials. Soprano, Jennifer Litwin and Classical Pianist, Victor Markiw are accomplished musicians and performers. They have a passion for their craft and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to them warm up together as I was setting up my lighting gear. We spent the better part of an afternoon in a recital hall at Purchase College State University of New York going through a number of different setups. I wish I had an assistant with me but it was a good challenge to work alone. I shot tethered to my laptop and we were able to edit on site and insure that the images were just right. Washington DC Baby Portraits, Alexa @ 12 Months
Recently I returned to Cleveland Park to visit Alexa who is now a year old. Last time I photographed her she was six months old and the change and growth that has occurred over those months was evident. She is moving all over the place at quite a pace and it’s work keeping up with her. I spent a few hours with Alexa, her big brother Drew, parents Kathleen and Doug. And we were joined at the end by Grandma. It was so much fun to see the range of energy levels and emotions from Alexa and Drew. I am humbled when a family invites me into their home to spend time in their lives capturing moments that will be cherished in the years to come. I am so excited for Alexa and Drew to be able to look at these pictures when they are much older and appreciate the amazing experience their parents had raising them. I guess it will also be nice for Kathleen and Doug too, but they are already appreciative of how amazing their kids are. Images capture moments in time, and I hope these moments get better with age. I am so grateful to be able to document them. You can click here to see Alexa at six months.
