Washington, DC Engagement Session : Theresa + Alejo

Theresa wrote this to me in an email after I sent her the first picture in this post. After reading it I paused and reflected. I couldn’t have put it any better. I love real moments, real people, and with some trust mixed in, the sky is the limit.
They’re a sweet couple, are also seasoned wedding photographers, and since they know almost everyone in our profession in this area it is such an honor to have been selected to capture their wedding day. It turns out this was the first time they had ever done something like this. Of course they’ve got plenty of snapshots with the point and shoot but they had never had the chance to just cut loose in front of the camera. I had so much fun and can’t wait for the wedding.
Georgetown Engagement Session, Alie + Bret
I had a lot of fun spending a few hours with Alie and Bret this past weekend in Georgetown. They got some coffee and then we wandered around one of their favorite neighborhoods, looking at the beautiful homes, admiring the changing leaves and talking about how great dogs are. I remember them telling me that this had been the first time in a while since they had been able to just relax together. They have a very natural and loving connection which makes it easy to photograph them. I’m really looking forward to the wedding now that I have had some more time to gain their trust. Just over a month to go.

Washington, DC Engagement Session : Nada and Mina
I have to run out for an assignment but wanted to post a sneak peek for Nada and Mina from their engagement session on Sunday. I have the best clients! They were amazing from the moment we started to the very last frame. Totally natural, and very much in love. I will post more soon.
